    Southside Kev is set to make its world premiere at the 30th anniversary of American Black Film Festival in Miami.

    Set in South Jamaica, Queens, the film follows a misguided teenager trying to gain respect in the streets without losing the innocence that still defines him.

    The film is written, directed, and produced by Jamel Furlow, with producing credits from Shatek King, Samuel C. Morrison, James Furlow, Charlene Coleman, and KK Rosemond.

    Southside Kev stars Nathan Lewis, Alpachino Howard, Naomi Taylor, and Brandon Chastang.

    The project is produced by Brookville Motion Pictures, Beatsonfilm, Deck of Cards Ent., and Rosemond Films.
