Continuing the momentum from her previous feature Different With Me—an official selection of the Pan African Film Festival and later premiering on Aspire TV—independent filmmaker Kinnedy “ScribeCash” Storay is scaling her production model in 2026, setting a new slate of original films that will see her write, direct, produce, and star across multiple titles.

Following a run of independently produced features, Storay is stepping further into the spotlight, positioning herself as a multi-hyphenate in the vein of Tyler Perry and Issa Rae—filmmakers known for building vertically integrated creative pipelines while maintaining an on-screen presence.

The upcoming slate continues Scribe’s focus on contained thrillers and character-driven dramas, a strategy that has enabled her to sustain a rapid production pace while delivering commercially viable content tailored for the streaming marketplace.

    “Ride or Die” (Season 1)

A serialized crime drama following a group of women bound by loyalty after a deadly incident. Storay leads the ensemble while continuing her role behind the camera. Oshea Russell appears as the season’s guest star. Additional cast includes, Christina Cooper, Victoria Cox, Keturah Cerrone, Ashley Clarice, Veon Selman, Jamaal Lewis and more.

    “Homewrecker”

    “The Killer Counselor”

A psychological thriller centered on a therapist whose methods blur ethical and deadly lines. Brely Evans headlines the film, with Storay directing and co-producing alongside Evans. Principal photography is set to wrap at the end of June with additional cast to be announced.

    EXPANDING A MULTI-HYPHENATE MODEL

Storay’s latest move marks a clear expansion of her creative model, where she has consistently operated as a writer-director-producer-editor, now adding lead performances across her projects.

Industry observers note that this approach—controlling both production and performance—has become increasingly relevant in the independent film space, particularly within the streaming ecosystem, where speed, ownership, and volume are key drivers of success.

With multiple projects slated for production this year, Storay continues to build a self-sustaining pipeline of original content, positioning herself as both a creator and on-screen brand.
