Tolu Arokodare will play Championship football next season after Wolverhampton Wanderers were officially relegated from the Premier League.

The club’s fate was confirmed following West Ham United’s 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace, a result that left Wolves mathematically unable to escape the drop zone with five matches remaining.

    Poor campaign seals relegation

Wolves have endured a difficult season, collecting just 17 points from 33 matches to sit bottom of the table.

The gap to safety has now become insurmountable, ending the club’s eight-year stay in the top flight.

    Arokodare struggles for impact

Arokodare, who joined from Genk at the start of the season, has found it challenging to adapt to the Premier League.

The striker has recorded three league goals and one assist in 28 appearances, falling short of expectations after his prolific spell in Belgium.

    Off-field issues add pressure

The campaign has also been marked by off-field challenges. Arokodare was subjected to racist abuse earlier in the season, while a recent reports linked him to a dressing room altercation with a teammate.

These incidents have added to a difficult debut season in England for the Nigerian.

    Uncertain future ahead

With relegation confirmed, Wolves are expected to undergo significant changes ahead of next season.

Arokodare’s future remains unclear, with interest reportedly emerging from other Premier League clubs and teams in the Turkish top flight.
