    By Javacia Harris Bower | Alabama News Center This month, Jacqueline Allen Trimble – an award-winning poet and professor of English and chair of the Department of Languages and Literatures at Alabama State University – will be commissioned by Gov. Kay Ivey as the new poet laureate for the state of Alabama.
