    Reality TV star Phyna has stirred widespread debate online after sharing her views on gender roles in a viral video.

    In the trending clip circulating on social media platform X, the Big Brother Naija star expressed frustration over societal expectations placed on women, stating that she believes life appears easier for men.

    Phyna said, “I wish I was a guy. I feel life is much easier for men. It’s more straightforward for them because it’s clear they have to work hard to make money.

    But for girls, I feel like we’ve been stigmatised. There are so many rules and restrictions around us. It often feels like a woman is not supposed to dream big.

    I just feel like I want to be a man.”

    Her comments have since generated mixed reactions, with many Nigerians debating the realities of gender inequality and societal pressure.

    Several social media users shared differing perspectives in response to her remarks.

    Ellarh wrote, “Many societies still expect women to excel at careers and carry most domestic labor. Men often get praised for doing the baseline.”

    Mr Timzo argued, “Women get connection. Men get opportunities. The opportunities you have to work for it to present itself, women get the connection easily without stress, to be a man is not an easy task in this life, be happy about your gender.”
