A Nigerian lady kidnapped in the Kasuwan Magani area of Kaduna State has returned home after spending about five months in bandits’ captivity, and was later discovered to be pregnant.

    Report Shared by Journalist

Journalist Reuben Buhari, who shared the update on Facebook, said the victim was freed two days ago after ransom was paid.

She was among several people abducted while she was caring for her sick mother when armed men stormed their home.

    Life in Captivity

During captivity, she reportedly suffered hunger, illness, and repeated physical abuse while being held in the forest.

    Pregnancy Discovered After Rescue

After her release, she was rushed to hospital where doctors confirmed she was pregnant due to the abuse she endured.

Describing the situation, Journalist Reuben Buhari said:

“She was tending to her seriously ill mother in Kasuwan Magani when kidnappers broke into the house and took four of them.

For five months, she was held in the bush, battling hunger, sickness, and enduring constant beatings.

Two days ago, she regained her freedom after her ransom was complete.

We took her to the hospital and found out she was pregnant. She had been repeatedly r@ped by the kidnappers.

Her decision to evacuate the pregnancy couldn’t proceed because she was weak and needed stabilization first, including pints of blood.

Her feet were also swollen because she had been barefoot throughout her ordeal.

Her ordeal isn’t what most people would want to hear; it’s gruesome. How they managed their monthly periods isn’t something you’ll want to hear; it’s bad.

This is the experience some female victims of kidnapping go through.”
