Rev. Al Sharpton first announced that he and the National Action Network were putting up a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. During the funeral service, Crump called on everyone who was on Horn Island on July 4 to turn over photographs, videos, Snapchat posts or anything else that could help the family’s legal team uncover the truth. Crump said the boat returned without Nolan, Nolan was found dead two days later, and the family deserves the same investigation and urgency that anyone would demand for their own child. He also rejected efforts to silence the family and its advocates, saying they will continue seeking truth and justice no matter whom the evidence implicates or exonerates. Near the end of the service, Sharpton announced that Tyler Perry had texted him while watching and offered to match the National Action Network’s original $50,000. Perry’s contribution brought the total reward to $100,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in Nolan Wells’ death. #RolandMartinUnfiltered #BlackStarNetwork #NolanWells #BenCrump #AlSharpton #TylerPerry #NationalActionNetwork #JusticeForNolanWells #HornIsland Black Star Network Partner: Chapter Chapter and its affiliates are not connected with or endorsed by any government entity or the federal Medicare program.
