Designed under the direction of Timex Group Chief Creative Director Giorgio Galli, the new Atelier chronographs represent a deliberate shift from the brand’s budget-conscious heritage toward the luxury enthusiast market. The Chronograph Automatic M1a Ti features a lightweight 42mm skeletonized titanium case wrapped around a black IP-coated stainless steel middle case. Its restrained, matte black reverse-panda dial is framed by a fixed tachymeter bezel and protected by a double-domed sapphire crystal with a triple-layer anti-reflective coating. Visible through an exhibition caseback, the watch is powered by the Swiss-made Landeron L72 automatic chronograph movement, which operates at 4Hz and boasts a 43-hour power reserve. Water-resistant to 50 meters, the M1a Ti is priced at $2,100 USD on a premium NBR synthetic rubber strap and $2,250 USD on a matching titanium bracelet featuring an innovative tool-less resizing system. For those seeking a more accessible entry into the Atelier lineup, the Chronograph Quartz M1q delivers the same visual discipline in a slightly smaller 40mm skeletonized stainless steel case. Diverging from the flat matte finish of its automatic sibling, the M1q sports a dynamic, precision-engraved black guilloché dial with a date window positioned at 6 o'clock. It is driven by a highly precise Swiss-made Ronda 5021.D quartz movement that offers a robust 54-month battery life. Notably, the quartz variant increases the water resistance to a highly capable 100 meters. The Chronograph Quartz M1q retails for $700 USD on an NBR rubber strap and $800 USD on a self-adjustable stainless steel bracelet, offering watch collectors an elevated, everyday chronograph. Both timepieces are now available to shop through official Timex webstore, alongside other models from Atelier range.
