Tezlyn Figaro returns to Conversate with Killer Mike, and she is not holding back. Tezlyn joins Killer Mike and Cutmaster Swiff to challenge Brandon Tatum to a debate, break down the Nolan Wells case and Ben Crump’s role, and have an unfiltered conversation about Black politics, media, organizing, accountability, and who is actually willing to do the work. Tezlyn explains why she believes the conversation surrounding Nolan Wells has to move beyond social media commentary and toward understanding the legal and political systems that determine what happens next. She and Killer Mike discuss civil litigation, criminal prosecution, elected officials, the Department of Justice, and why changing outcomes requires understanding who actually holds power. Then the conversation gets personal. Tezlyn directly addresses Brandon Tatum and explains why she wants to debate him over his commentary surrounding the Nolan Wells case. She also speaks candidly about Candace Owens, conservative media, her experiences debating political opponents, and why she refuses to soften her position simply to gain access to a platform. Killer Mike and Tezlyn also wrestle with hip hop’s responsibility in politics. They discuss Ice Cube, political organizing, celebrity influence, and why artists cannot simply speak about change without supporting organizers doing the work year round. Tezlyn challenges entertainers to open their platforms, support grassroots organizations, and recognize when someone else needs to carry the political message. The conversation eventually comes home to Atlanta and Georgia politics, as Killer Mike and Tezlyn debate political unity, public disagreement, tribalism, voting, economic power, government contracts, and what Black communities can accomplish when political participation is connected to organization and ownership. Along the way, Tezlyn shares how her upbringing, military service, business career, and years of political organizing shaped her belief that this work is more than a career. It is a calling. This is Tezlyn Figaro with no filter, Killer Mike pushing the conversation forward, and Cutmaster Swiff in the room for a conversation about power, politics, loyalty, leadership, and what it means to pick a side.
