    ABOUT ROE:

Born and raised in Venice, California, ROE is a Grammy Award-winning vocalist and songwriter signed to Universal Music Publishing Group, known for her rich, melodic vocals and skilled pen. A natural performer, ROE has been singing since the age of 5 and signed her first record deal at just 15 years old. From early on, it was clear she was destined for the spotlight—though for years, she made her mark working behind the scenes. ROE has written for some of the biggest names in the industry, including Mary J. Blige, Usher, Normani, Megan Thee Stallion, Ari Lennox, Kiana Ledé, Teyana Taylor, City Girls, Lil Jon, and Kash Doll, among others. Her notable songwriting credits include “Lick” by Shenseea ft. Megan Thee Stallion, “H.E.R.” by Megan Thee Stallion, and “80/20” by Chloe & Halle. She has also written songs for the hit Fox TV shows Empire and Star, and her collaboration with Sachi, “Sparking My Fire,” was featured on NBC’s World of Dance. As a solo artist, ROE describes her sound as “Top Floor” — a blend of lush, timeless melodies and bold modern production. Her breakout debut single “I Like,” earned over 10 million streams and landed at #2 on Billboard’s Most Added R&B Radio Chart, while her debut EP My Way has since surpassed 30 million streams. As an independent artist, ROE has amassed over 100 million streams across her solo work and features combined—a testament to her growing global fanbase and undeniable staying power. Her recently released EP, “Oakwood,” is a raw and soulful project inspired by her Venice roots—a tribute to a historic Black neighborhood in Los Angeles and a personal reflection of her journey from behind-the-scenes hitmaker to solo star. The project reached a landmark moment when former President Barack Obama included “Stay” among his highlighted favorite songs of 2025, placing her alongside the likes of Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Drake, and Chappell Roan on one of music’s most-watched annual lists. Now, ROE is gearing up for the next chapter. Her upcoming single “Body” serves as the lead offering from her highly anticipated new EP, Lincoln Blvd — named after one of the most iconic streets running through her hometown of Venice, California. Just as Oakwood paid homage to the neighborhood’s deep roots, Lincoln Blvd continues ROE’s tradition of drawing creative inspiration from the streets that shaped her, promising another deeply personal and sonically rich body of work. ROE is the real deal — a songwriter’s songwriter with a voice to match, repping Venice, CA to the fullest.
