    ‎A Nigerian man has revealed why his colleague refused to embark on annual leave for 17 years.

    ‎In a now-viral post on X (formerly Twitter), the man revealed that the company’s management insisted the employee proceed on leave.


    ‎Man’s Post Raises Eyebrows


    ‎Identified as @abdoullmuhd on X, the man revealed that his colleague was always the first to take extra shifts and stayed until the end.

    “Management practically had to force him to take public holidays. He was always the first to volunteer for extra shifts and the last person to leave the office”,He added.

    ‎Meanwhile, after collapsing at work and being rushed to the hospital, the Human Resources (HR) ordered his family be notified.

    ‎However,  the company discovered the employee had been a widower for seventeen years.

    ‎ In a tragic turn of events, his wife passed away during childbirth as he commenced work at the company.

    ‎ Meanwhile, the baby survived, and the man kept the vow he made to his deceased wife.

    ‎Moreover, the discovery left co-workers in tears.

    ‎”Before she passed away, she held his hand and made him promise her one thing, Give her the life we dreamed of, no matter how hard it gets.He kept that promise“, The tweet reads in part.
