Stiles and Wilder are back, cuh! ‘Nemesis’ has officially been renewed for a second season at Netflix.

The crime drama stars Matthew Law as Isaiah Stiles and Y’lan Noel as Coltrane Wilder, telling the story of two men on opposite sides of the law—an unstoppable force in expert criminal Wilder, and an immovable object in brilliant police detective Stiles. Since premiering on May 14, the series has taken the streamer by storm, climbing to the #1 show on Netflix by its second week. Now officially renewed, creators and executive producers Courtney A. Kemp and Tani Marole are voicing their excitement for what comes next.

“I feel blessed to get a season two. We thank the fans…it’s because of them—there’s no other reason. It’s them showing up, them talking about it and their huge social media response…We are grateful to Netflix for recognizing the power of our audience and bringing us back for the fans,” Kemp shared with Deadline. Marole echoed the sentiment: “Season 2, we’re very grateful to have it… We’re going to make sure those questions get answered—and even more questions are available for you to answer… Make no mistakes, Season 2 is going to be bigger and better.”

Season 1 left off mid-pursuit, with Stiles and his son Noah (Cedric Joe) chasing Wilder through a multi-man gun battle and into the streets of Los Angeles. Coltrane is cornered in an alley, with Noah catching up first and holding him at gunpoint over the death of his grandfather Amos (Moe Irvin). Before Noah can act, a shooter emerges and hits him in the leg. Coltrane immediately puts pressure on the wound to keep Noah from bleeding out, then trades places with Stiles, who arrives to take over—buying Coltrane the chance to slip away. The season closes on a cliffhanger that leaves his fate wide open.

Rounding out the Season 1 ensemble, ‘Nemesis’ stars Matthew Law, Y’lan Noel, Cleopatra Coleman, Tre Hale, Domenick Lombardozzi, Jonnie Park, Ariana Guerra, Gabrielle Dennis, Michael Potts, Sophina Brown, Cedric Joe, and Jeff Pierre, with guest appearances from Moe Irvin, Quincy Isaiah, Jay Reeves, Mike O’Malley, Stephanie Sigman, Khalilah Joi, Shane Johnson, Siua Ikale’o, Dawnn Lewis, Mark Feuerstein, and Chris Bauer.

In addition to Kemp and Marole, ‘Nemesis’ is also executive produced by Chris Selak of End of Episode and Philipp Barnett. Mario Van Peebles directed and executive produced episodes 1 and 2, while additional directors include Millicent Shelton (103/104), Rob Hardy (105/106), and Ruben Garcia (107/108).
