A viral explainer broke down why more than 500 Howard students were dropped — and exposed a deeper administrative and communications failure that alumni say has existed for decades. The Esther Funding Foundation announced full support for affected Howard students by offering financial resources, operating a Howard help desk, organizing student timelines, identifying missing information, gathering documentation, and helping prepare advocacy or reinstatement requests. Vincent said the foundation had received more than 56 verified student cases and had helped one student become reinstated at the time of the interview. Separately, Roland played Dr. Erin Lynch, president of the Quality Education for Minorities Network, delivered a viral explainer detailing outside scholarships, bursar and financial-aid responsibilities, payment plans, deadlines, and the role students and families play in monitoring their accounts. Howard’s communications failure, confusion surrounding pending aid and deadlines, the reported case involving a remaining $14 balance, and decades-old administrative problems described by alumni all came under scrutiny. #RolandMartinUnfiltered #BlackStarNetwork #HowardUniversity #HBCU #ShaynaVincent #EstherFundingFoundation #FinancialAid #HigherEducation Black Star Network Partner: Chapter Chapter and its affiliates are not connected with or endorsed by any government entity or the federal Medicare program.
