PENSACOLA, Fla. —Evangelist Dianna Hobbs, founder of Empowering Everyday Women Ministries and President & CEO of EEW Magazine Online, ministered July 10 during the Visionaries In Covenant Holy Convocation before returning Sunday, July 12, to Deliverance Tabernacle Christian Center, the fellowship's headquarters church in Pensacola, where she preached during the morning worship service.

The assignment carried personal weight beyond the pulpit. The convocation honored the life and 17 years of service of Hobbs' late brother, Bishop Christopher Lamar Brinson Sr., who served Visionaries In Covenant as Bishop of Protocol until his death in November 2025.

Presiding Bishop Charles Young extended the invitation to Hobbs after hearing her share expressions at her brother's homegoing celebration.

On Friday evening, Hobbs preached "A Resurrection at a Funeral," anchored in Luke 7:11-17 and John 12:24, calling worshipers to trust that what looks like an ending in human eyes is never beyond the reach of God. Congregants responded by filling the room with praise.

Sunday morning, Hobbs opened with her own testimony, recounting the traumatic brain injury and ministroke she survived in 2019 that resulted in global aphasia, a severe language disorder that can impair a person's ability to speak, understand language, read, and write. Doctors did not expect a recovery and told her the window to recover speech and memory had closed. Her therapist instructed her to accept this as her "new normal." She refused, and that refusal became the foundation of her Sunday message.

From that testimony, Hobbs preached "A New Normal," drawing from the account of the widow of Zarephath in 1 Kings 17:7-16, reminding the congregation that while circumstances can change in an instant, God's purposes do not. What people accept as a final chapter is often the opening line of a testimony.

"Sunday in Pensacola…only God," Hobbs said on Facebook. "He met us in a way I don't have the words to fully describe. His Word came forth with power. His glory flooded the room. Chains were broken. Hearts were transformed. People filled the altar, crying out to God. Many were slain in the Spirit as the presence of the Lord rested upon us."

Hobbs thanked those who covered the assignment in prayer.

"To every person who prayed, sent a message, or checked in just to let me know you were praying for me during this assignment, thank you," she said. "I felt it. God answered."

She also thanked Presiding Bishop Charles Young, First Lady Shaunda Young, and the Visionaries In Covenant family for their hospitality.

"My body is tired, but my soul is refreshed," Hobbs said. "The devil is defeated. Jesus Christ is exalted. His people are strengthened. To God be all the glory for the things He has done!"
