Give him some praise, won’t he do it! BET officially announced that they’ve reached their biggest BET Awards rating since 2019 with Druski serving as host for the 2026 show. Serving as a first-time host for the award show ceremony—held June 28 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles—Druski made BET Awards history as the youngest person to host the award show since Kevin Hart in 2011.

His inaugural hosting debut ranks as the highest-rated BET Awards on BET since 2019 among adults 18 to 49, scoring big across television, social, digital, and live experiences. On television, the show delivered a 50% year-over-year lift in P18-49 impressions on BET, with 624,000 impressions this year compared to 415,000 last year. The Coverage Rating increased by 71%, and across 12 Paramount networks, the show drew 2.6 million P2+ viewers, with 1.4 million watching on BET alone.

Among these stats, young women viewers drove a massive spike in viewership. According to BET, W18-34 viewership was up 106% and W18-24 was up 144%. The momentum carried long into the night and even started early in the evening. “The immediate encore delivered triple-digit gains, with P18-49 Coverage Rating up 245% year-over-year,” BET announced. “NPR’s Tiny Desk, which debuted as the lead-in to the show with a Bow Wow performance, was up 40% year-over-year in P18-49 Coverage Rating.”

Social and digital platforms also saw massive wins, fueled heavily by Druski’s hosting and his new parody skits that circulated on social media during the live programming. Overall digital highlights include a 187% increase in day-of-show views and a 173% spike in livestream impressions. BET reports that the 2026 award show ranked as the #1 most social program across all of television, with 9.3 million interactions across broadcast and cable combined, making BET itself the #1 most social network across all of television for the day. On the charts, #BETAwards was the #1 most trending topic on X (formerly Twitter) for 12 consecutive hours in the U.S. and seven consecutive hours worldwide. Additionally, the 2026 BET Awards Red Carpet Live!, presented by Hyundai and McDonald’s, grew YouTube livestream viewership by 152% in views, 160% in minutes watched, and 173% in impressions year-over-year.

Beyond the screen, the live energy was just as historic, with record-breaking BET Experience weekend crowds reaching over 50,000 people. Attendees were treated to an unforgettable night of cultural moments, including Janet Jackson’s presentation of the Icon of the Year Award to Teyana Taylor, a powerful Lauryn Hill tribute, and an electric performance by T.I. Reflecting on the historic weekend, BET President Louis Carr added, “The strength of the BET brand is that it lives at the very center of Black culture, and this weekend proved it once again. BET convenes culture and community better than anyone, and that position is ours alone.”

This latest achievement for Druski comes amid an ongoing wave of success for the comedian. In 2020, he was featured in music videos by Lil Yachty, Drake, and Jack Harlow. The following year, he created Coulda Been Records using Instagram Live to allow his fans to audition playfully for a record deal, which later turned into an actual satirical record label and talent-scouting series—resulting in a massive live-audition tour featuring celebrity guest judges. In his latest Forbes list achievement, he is ranked #7 in this year’s Forbes Top Creator list. He has also successfully transitioned to the big screen, starring in movies such as Praise This (2023) and House Party (2023), and is currently set to star alongside Emma Stone and Chris Pine in the upcoming baseball romcom The Catch.
