    An unexpected response a first-class graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), received after applying for a job at a clinic in Lagos has gone viral online.

    The story gained attention after a user identified as @_raesparkles shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation involving her friend’s job application experience.

    According to the post, the graduate had hoped to relocate to Lagos for work and applied for a position at a clinic.

    “My friend wanted to come work in Lagos so she applied to a clinic and she got this response,” the post read.

    Unexpected Reply From Clinic

    A screenshot shared online showed the clinic responding politely but declining the application.

    The message reportedly read:

    “Hey Linda. First class hons? There is something better for you. Please don’t lower your standard. All the best.”

    The response quickly attracted attention online due to its unusual wording.

    Graduate’s Academic Background

    According to details shared in the post, the applicant, identified as Linda Omotayo Aisida, studied Physiology at FUTA.

    She reportedly graduated with first-class honours on November 12, 2024.
