TAG Heuer has reunited with Japanese racing icon Team Ikuzawa and Bamford Watch Department for a new collaborative Carrera Chronograph. Following their initial 2023 collaboration, this new limited-edition release channels the visual codes of 1970s and 1980s Japanese motorsport through a contemporary lens. Spearheaded by Team Principal Mai Ikuzawa alongside George Bamford, the project draws direct creative inspiration from the Team Ikuzawa archive, specifically reinterpreting the graphic aesthetic and high legibility of the team's historic Roadmaster stopwatch.Housed in a 39mm fine-brushed and polished steel "Glassbox" case, the timepiece boasts a bezel-free construction and domed sapphire crystal, offering an uninterrupted view of the dial. The white dial features a textured Clou de Paris finish and printed numeral indexes that mimic vintage timing instruments. Highlighting the team's signature color palette, bold red accents appear on the lacquered hour and minute hands, central chronograph seconds hand, red-printed 3 o'clock minute counter and a dedicated date disc at 6 o'clock.Powering the watch is the in-house Calibre TH20-10 automatic chronograph movement, which intentionally omits a running seconds subdial. This specific 2-counter layout leaves the 6 o'clock dial space open for the prominent Team Ikuzawa logo, paying homage to vintage 1960s and 1970s racing chronographs. The watch is delivered on a 7-row steel bracelet and comes bundled as a set with two additional interchangeable straps: a white perforated leather strap with red stitching inspired by classic driving gloves, and a red-and-white striped textile strap referencing Team Ikuzawa's racing livery. Its custom sapphire caseback is engraved with "TEAM IKUZAWA", "BAMFORD WATCH DEPARTMENT," alongside its individual issue number. The Carrera Chronograph x Team Ikuzawa is presented in custom packaging designed to emjlate a pit garage toolbox, alongside a travel pouch and branded charms. Priced at $10,500 USD, the release is available to order through TAG Heuer, with availability strictly limited to 150 pieces worldwide.
