The space reflects Stone Island’s "culture of research" through a minimalist and industrial aesthetic, utilizing specialized materials such as cork, charred wood, and sand-sprayed resins. Spanning two floors, the interior is defined by functional design elements, including a large digital chandelier and a striking “Big Object” display for current collections. The architecture aims to create a community-centric environment that serves as both a retail space and a hub for Stone Island enthusiasts to engage with the brand’s heritage of fabric experimentation. To mark the opening, Stone Island released ‘A Sorpres,’ a short documentary directed by Glenn Kitson and produced by nss. The film retraces the brand’s deep bond with Naples, moving through the Resina market where early Stone Island pieces were discovered among surplus garments. The title, meaning “by surprise” in Neapolitan dialect, references the thrill of finding a rare badge in the piles of clothing. Narrated by figures such as writer Roberto Saviano and collectors like Alfredo Formisano, the documentary highlights how Stone Island’s military‑inspired designs became intertwined with Naples’ cultural fabric. The soundtrack, produced by the enigmatic Neapolitan artist LIBERATO, underscores the city’s energy and identity.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
