Liam Rosenior says he retains full backing from Chelsea’s ownership despite a damaging run of form that has put their season objectives at risk.

Chelsea have lost four consecutive Premier League matches without scoring, leaving their hopes of securing a top-five finish and UEFA Champions League qualification under serious threat.

Manager insists ownership support remains intact

Rosenior, who replaced Enzo Maresca earlier this year, stated that communication with club leadership has remained positive.

“100%. They’ve been supportive of me in our daily conversations, the sporting directors involved – they’ve been magnificent in their support of me and the team,” he said.

He acknowledged the immediate pressure to improve results, adding: “We know we need to win games of football in the now.”

    Ownership signals long-term commitment

Co-owner Behdad Eghbali has publicly reinforced the club’s stance, indicating continued confidence in Rosenior’s long-term prospects.

“Of course, it’s a results business, but we think he can be successful long term,” Eghbali said.

The ownership group is also expected to reassess squad composition in the summer, with a focus on adding more experienced players to complement what is currently the league’s youngest squad.

    Champions League hopes fading

Chelsea’s latest defeat to Manchester United leaves them seven points adrift of fifth place, increasing the urgency around upcoming fixtures.

Rosenior admitted the club’s expectations remain unchanged, with a clear mandate to return to consistent success.

“He wants consistent trophies and consistent success for this club… we’re all very clear on what we need to do,” he added.
