    Prairie View A&M made history in Dayton, Ohio, defeating Lehigh 67-55 in an NCAA Tournament First Four game — marking the Panthers’ first-ever NCAA Tournament win since the field expanded to 68 teams. It is a milestone that has been a long time coming, and for the HBCU community, it means far more than a single box score. The win did not arrive out of nowhere. Coach Smith had previously guided Prairie View to the Big Dance in 2019, when the Panthers jumped out to an 11-point lead before ultimately falling to Fairleigh Dickinson, 76-72.
