SummaryPorsche unveils the 911 GT3 S/C, the first GT3 cabriolet variantSame power and performance figures as the 992.2 GT3, slightly heavierStreet Style Package availablePorsche has revealed the 911 GT3 S/C, the first 911 GT3 to feature a fully automatic convertible roof. The new model draws directly from the DNA of the limited-edition 911 Speedster and 911 S/T, combining their driver-focused character with the full performance of the standard GT3.The 911 GT3 S/C is powered by the same 4.0L naturally-aspirated flat-six engine as the 911 GT3 992.2, producing 502 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. For the pure driving enthusiasts – a six-speed manual transmission is the only configuration available, and with it the S/C accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 313 km/h – the same figures as the GT3. Weight management was central to the development. The car weighs 1,497 kg (3,300 lbs) — just 30kg (66 lbs.) more than the 991-generation Speedster — achieved through extensive use of 911 S/T-sourced carbon fiber at the hood, fenders, and doors. The standard PCCB ceramic braking system also comes standard. Magnesium centerlock wheels reduce rotating mass by approximately 9kg (20 lbs.), and the same material forms the ribs of the fully automatic soft top, creating a solid coupe-esque shape while keeping the high center of gravity weight down to a minimum. The chassis setup mirrors that of the 911 GT3 with Touring Package, and for the first time on an open-top 911, a double wishbone front axle is used. The interior follows the S/T's lightweight approach with carbon fiber door pull handles and lightweight carpets. But unlike the 911 Speedster or S/T, the GT3 S/C is not marketed as a limited-edition model. For those looking for even more customized look, an optional Street Style Package offered through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur program is available, and adds Pyro Red exterior graphics and a distinctive two-tone Slate Grey and Guards Red interior treatment. Other details include the open-pore wood shift knob made popular by other 911 limited editions, customizable seat inserts and more. The 911 GT3 S/C is available to order now.
