Grind Pretty Fest is bringing its signature mix of ambition, sisterhood and celebration back to Atlanta, this time with an R&B favorite at the center of the experience.

The national festival founded by media entrepreneur Mimi Johnson will return Saturday, June 6, for its ATL Remix edition at Westside Cultural Arts Center. Designed as a full-day destination for women building careers, businesses and community, the festival will conclude with a Y2K-inspired day party featuring Grammy-nominated singer Nivea.

Running from 12:30 to 7 p.m. ET, Grind Pretty Fest will combine panel discussions, networking, wellness activations, women-owned vendors, live entertainment and funding opportunities for aspiring and established entrepreneurs. The event is presented with support from Kiss Color & Care, BLM Sports and PHerfectly Balanced.

For Johnson, the festival’s purpose extends beyond creating a feel-good gathering. Grind Pretty Fest continues to position itself as a platform where women can access resources, visibility and financial support while celebrating the music and culture that shape their experiences.

“Grind Pretty Fest is about creating real opportunities for women while celebrating the culture that connects us,” said Mimi Johnson, Founder and CEO of Grind Pretty. “We’re creating spaces where women can network, learn, secure funding, be inspired, and still have an incredible time doing it.”

Conversations Centering Career Growth, Media and Reinvention

This year’s Atlanta programming will explore timely conversations around career pressure, technology and professional evolution. Three scheduled panels — The AI Effect in Media, The Pressure to Perform and Power of the Pivot — will bring together executives, entrepreneurs, athletes, creatives and wellness leaders to discuss the changing realities of success across industries.

The themes reflect the current climate for women navigating rapidly shifting workplaces and creative economies, particularly in media and entertainment. In addition to its business-focused discussions, the festival will support an emergency relief initiative through Grind For Good, the nonprofit arm of Grind Pretty, created to assist women in media and entertainment affected by layoffs and financial instability.

$3,000 in Grants to Support Women at Different Stages of Business

Funding will also remain central to the experience. Through Grind For Good, the festival will award three $1,000 grants to women pursuing professional or entrepreneurial advancement.

The Corporate Grant will support professional development, certifications or career advancement. The Idea Pitch Grant is intended for women in the early stages of developing a business, while the Elevator Pitch Grant will support women working to scale an existing venture.

Applications remain open through May 30, 2026. Applicants must attend Grind Pretty Fest and hold a valid ticket to be eligible.

Morgan DeBaun, Jai Ferrell and Nivea Among 2026 Honorees

Grind Pretty Fest will also recognize six women whose work spans technology, youth leadership, beauty, entrepreneurship, entertainment and sports culture.

The 2026 honorees include Morgan DeBaun, founder and CEO of Blavity Inc. and AFROTECH; Jai Ferrell, CEO of Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta; Leticia Gardner, founder of Dynamic 3 Med Spa; Britni Ricard, founder and CEO of COTA SKIN; Cicley Gay, CEO of The Amplifiers and founder of BLM Sports; and Nivea.

Together, the honorees represent the festival’s broader focus on women creating influence across sectors while opening doors for the communities they serve.

Nivea Leads a Y2K Celebration Built for Atlanta

Following the day’s conversations and networking, Grind Pretty Fest will shift into celebration mode with the ATL Remix Y2K Day Party.

Nivea, whose early-2000s hits became part of the era’s R&B soundtrack, will headline the performance lineup alongside Jazzy Tha Rapper and Pearl Jade. The party will also feature an all-female roster of DJs, including DJ Traci Steele, DJ Princess Cut, DJ Reese and DJ Queen of Spades.

Guests are encouraged to embrace the nostalgia with their best Y2K-inspired fashion, transforming the closing celebration into a visual tribute to an era that continues to influence music, beauty and style.

With its Atlanta return, Grind Pretty Fest is creating a space where professional advancement and cultural celebration do not have to exist separately. For women seeking community, inspiration, funding or simply a reason to pull out their best throwback look, the ATL Remix edition is positioned as one of the city’s standout women-centered events of the summer.

Grind Pretty Fest: ATL Remix takes place Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Westside Cultural Arts Center in Atlanta. Tickets and grant applications are available through Grind Pretty’s official website.
