SummaryCourtney MC crafted a custom one-off look for Aya Nakamura's sold-out Stade de France show, built entirely from Nike productsThe chrome, sci-fi concept was sewn by hand from Nike Dri-FIT tops and a pair of Air Max 90s, with details borrowed from the Nike Shox Z sneakerThe project extends Courtney MC's deep track record dressing culture's biggest names, from her Givenchy years to Travis Scott's Circus MaximusNike and Courtney MC have unveiled a custom look for Aya Nakamura, designed for the French superstar's sold-out performance at Stade de France on May 30, 2026. Following a Nike and PSG capsule the designer worked on earlier in the year, the brand tapped Courtney McWilliams once again, this time to build something sci-fi-coded using nothing but existing Nike product.McWilliams hand-sewed the entire look from Nike Dri-FIT tops and a pair of Air Max 90s, threading in details lifted from the Shox Z. The result reads like an anime still: a deliberate nod to the world-building McWilliams has cited as her north star. "I imagined Aya looking like a semi-robotic goddess, like a sci-fi movie protagonist," she explained, framing the concept as a natural fit for Nike's long-running investment in powerful women across sport and entertainment. For longtime followers of her work, this is familiar territory rendered in new metal. McWilliams is a Royal College of Art graduate who spent a decade inside Givenchy, climbing to Design Director and authoring some of the house's most recognizable graphic output while dressing Beyoncé, Rihanna, Jay-Z and Kanye West, and later, producing custom looks for Travis Scott's landmark Circus Maximus world tour. The Nakamura look joins a lineage of McWilliams's Nike projects where the Swoosh functions as raw material for conceptual fashion. Though this look is not part of a retail release, McWilliams' eponymous jewelry label is available for sale at Dover Street Market as well as through her website.
