    DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central student-athletes established a new department benchmark, recording a cumulative GPA of 3.33 at the conclusion of the Spring 2026 semester.

    Of the department’s 263 student-athletes, 205 earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, representing 77.95 percent of all Eagles. Additionally, 18 student-athletes maintained a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA, while 49 Eagles achieved a 4.0 GPA during the spring semester.

    Women’s golf (3.76), volleyball (3.74) and women’s tennis (3.64) recorded the highest team GPAs for the spring term.

    Leading the department in cumulative GPA were men’s tennis (3.78), women’s tennis (3.69) and women’s golf (3.66). Women’s tennis and women’s golf ranked among the top three in both semester and cumulative GPA standings.
