A newly married man has reportedly filed for divorce just two days after his wedding following an altercation involving his wife and mother at the couple’s reception.

According to accounts circulating online, the dispute began when a couple from the groom’s family arrived at the reception after most of the food had been served.

With no meals remaining, the groom’s mother reportedly approached the bride to request a portion from food that had been reserved for the bride’s parents.

The bride allegedly declined the request, insisting that the meal had been specifically set aside for her family members.

Witnesses claimed the groom’s mother, hoping to accommodate the late-arriving guests, attempted to serve some of the food herself.

    Disagreement turns physical

The situation reportedly escalated when the bride stopped her mother-in-law and returned the food to the cooler.

The disagreement soon turned physical, with both women allegedly exchanging slaps in front of guests at the reception.

Sources said the incident shocked attendees and overshadowed what was meant to be a celebration of the couple’s union.

    Marriage ends days after ceremony

Although the groom did not react publicly during the reception, reports indicate that he was informed about the confrontation shortly afterwards.

He reportedly chose to remain calm until the wedding festivities had concluded.

However, just two days after the ceremony, the man allegedly initiated divorce proceedings, citing the incident and the breakdown of relations between his wife and mother as reasons for ending the marriage.
