    On Aug. 17, the Madison County Board of Supervisors approved the county tax assessor’s valuation of five Amazon data center buildings in Canton, rejecting an appeal from the company that assigned a much lower value to the facilities. Amazon's valuation would have eliminated nearly $6 million in tax revenue, county estimates show.
