For Kid Cudi, 2026 has proven a pivotal period of creative rediscovery thus far. In the past three months alone, the music-first multihyphenate has toggled between a myriad of different artistic ecosystems. He's getting deeper into his visual art bag, fresh off his first-ever art presentation at Art Basel at the end of 2025, and showing for the first time in Paris back in January. Off-White™ and Cudder kick off a partnership, with the brand first tapping Cudder to contribute to a limited run of collaborative T-shirts, of which all proceeds were donated to his Big Bro Foundation in support of breaking the stigma around mental health. Earlier this month, he soft-launched some more of his work with Off, previewing a slate of collaborative sneaker and apparel designs. He's even dabbled in stand-up comedy. While he's clearly had his hands full, by no means has Cudi's music fallen through the cracks; though he has taken a bit of a different approach to his sonic storytelling as of late. Rather than maintaining any sort of enigmatic aura around his creative process, for his first project of 2026 – and his first-ever formally packaged "EP" – the artist left nothing to the imagination. Over the past 10 days, he's hosted a series of streams on Twitch dubbed "Someone Cooked Here." A livestreamed recording session, Cudder started as a way to give fans "a ticket into [his] world," and bridge the gap between him and his audience. The final product of each episode is a fully finished song, which, at the time, he would share to SoundCloud. Just over a week later, he now has a full on-streaming EP to show for the "Someone Cooked Here" sessions. An at-first unexpected endeavor, the project is entitled HAVE U BN 2 HEAVEN @ NITE and features four songs – all of which were recorded on the Twitch stream except for track one, "REAL ONES NEVER DIE.""Didn't know [you'd] get new music this year and look, all for you. This streaming experience has been crazy for me, and Im so happy u all were able to be there to see how my songs come together," Cudi shared on Instagram when announcing the EP just a few days earlier this week. 1. REAL ONES NEVER DIE2. DROWN3. HALOS ON ANGELS4. RIDE RIDETrack four, "RIDE RIDE" was the first one Cudi dropped, followed by "DROWN" and "HALOS ON ANGELS."In continuing the theme of this EP's aversion to the traditional route, Cudi didn't even wait until the typical midnight EST hour to drop the project. HAVE U BN 2 HEAVEN @ NITE landed on all streaming services mid-day. Give it a listen below.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
