SummaryJOURNAL STANDARD links up with Dickies for a bespoke take on the iconic 42283 work shortsThe design deconstructs two pairs to create a deliberately distorted silhouetteJOURNAL STANDARD joins forces with Dickies to reimagine the classic 42283 work short. Slated for a mid-April release, the bespoke collaboration takes a surgical approach to the iconic silhouette, delivering a rugged, reimagined staple. The collaborative effort is rooted in reconstruction, physically dismantling and stitching together two separate pairs of the 42283 model to create an intentionally distorted profile. Paying homage to vintage Americana, the shorts feature retro-leaning details reminiscent of pre-1990s USA-made models. These specific heritage touches include a "self-adjustable waist" seam allowance and narrow belt loops.Constructed from 100% cotton twill, the shorts undergo a specialized garment-dyeing process to achieve a rough, lived-in texture. The reconstructed bottoms are offered in three versatile colorways: brown, beige, and navy. The JOURNAL STANDARD x Dickies bespoke shorts drop in mid-April via JOURNAL STANDARD retail locations, the VISIT JOURNAL STANDARD store in Kyoto, and the brand’s official online store.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
