SummaryThe adidas Harden Vol. 10 "HarDenim" trades its usual futuristic look for a vintage, black denim and Japanese sashiko patchwork design.Expected in late 2026 for $160, the shoe highlights a rising trend of denim-infused aesthetics in performance sneakers. After appearing in a range of bright colorways like “Cyan” and “Supernova,” the adidas Harden Vol. 10 is moving in a completely different direction. adidas has unveiled an official look at the next iteration of the Cleveland Cavaliers player’s signature shoe, departing from the original design for a vintage denim-inspired variant. Expected for a Fall 2026 roll-out, James Harden’s shoe leaves behind its sculptural upper for a black denim makeup rendered with an upcycled aesthetic. Resembling Japanese denim patchwork traditions and sashiko stitching, “HarDenim” has a lived-in look that contrasts with the model’s originally futuristic vibe. On the back heels, Harden-isms like “Under No One” and “Imma be a Star” appear above the subtle three-stripe motif, while the heel tabs draw inspiration from selvedge denim finishing. For subtle contrast to the dark denim upper, tan leather details appear on the toe box and heel panels, while the collar is outlined with white piping.Denim and patchwork-inspired sneakers have seen renewed interest with several denim-coded sneaker releases coming from Nike this year and the work of the Sashiko Gals, who have applied the traditional mending technique to numerous sneakers, most notably from New Balance. As the trend continues to develop, we may very well see more vintage denim-infused uppers making their way onto performance and sports-specific silhouettes. The adidas Harden Vol. 10 “HarDenim” is rumored to drop in time for the 2026 Holiday season, at an estimated retail price of $160 USD.
