Notable entertainer Speed Darlington has opened up on why he struggles with trusting people, including close family members.

Speaking on the issue, he recounted an experience from abroad where he received compensation after a car accident.

Due to banking issues at the time, he said he entrusted the money to his mother to help process it, but later discovered the funds had been spent.

According to him, the incident significantly affected his ability to trust others, noting that if such a situation could occur within his own family, it made him more cautious in dealing with people generally.

Speaking in Igbo, he said …

“There’s nobody I trust in this world. I no even trust my mama. There was a time I had an accident abroad, the company paid me for damaging my car. At the time, my bank had issue and I didn’t have an account. So I gave it to my mother and tell her to help me cash it, my mama cash the money chop am. She chop me unauthorized. So I no trust anybody if my own mama fit chop me. If my mama can chop me, who’s says a POP man cannot chop me, my own mama chop me”
