Fashion entrepreneur Ejiro, popularly known as Styled by Ejiro, has spoken publicly about how she rebuilt her life and business after a period she described as one of devastating financial and emotional loss.

During a testimony at Streams of Joy International, Ejiro said she abandoned her flourishing fashion brand after becoming involved with an online religious group whose teachings and instructions dramatically altered the course of her life.

She explained that she was persuaded to part with her wealth and possessions in obedience to what she believed were divine directives.

According to her, the process resulted in the loss of her fashion business, savings, and personal property.

Ejiro said more than ₦11 million realised from the sale of her business was given away.

She added that she eventually surrendered her residence and other valuables, believing the sacrifices were necessary.

The experience, she said, also drove a wedge between her and members of her family, leaving her isolated and struggling emotionally.

Her absence from public life drew widespread attention last year, prompting friends and relatives to launch the #WhereIsEjiro campaign on social media in an effort to locate her.

The designer said her turning point came after she left the religious group on July 7, 2025. With encouragement from loved ones, 21 days fasting and support from her church, she began rebuilding from scratch.

Starting from a small workspace in her sister’s boys’ quarters, Ejiro said she accepted modest tailoring jobs while working to regain the trust of clients and expand her business once again.

One year later, she says the turnaround has exceeded her expectations. According to Ejiro, her fashion business has processed over ₦83 million in inflows since its revival.

She also revealed that she is relocating her operations to a fully equipped five-bedroom duplex near Maitama, Abuja, where the business will operate with industrial sewing equipment and a dedicated inverter-powered electricity system.

Ejiro described her experience as proof that it is possible to recover from severe setbacks with determination, support, and a fresh start.
