    “I grew up watching you.”

It’s a simple line from Nollywire’s final conversation with the cast of Lyndsey Efejuku’s ‘Remi and Nneoma’, but when Uche Montana says it to Eucharia Anunobi, it lands as a full-circle moment.

What begins as a reflection on working together quickly turns personal, as admiration gives way to something deeper.

Montana describes sharing the screen with Anunobi as both humbling and instructive, an experience that required her to “buckle up” and rise to the level of the room.

Anunobi, in turn, meets that admiration with deep praise. She recalls praying for Montana the first time they met and speaking, in her words, “prophetically” about what lies ahead.

There’s no dramatic pause engineered for effect here. Just two actors, one who grew up watching and another who has held an enduring presence, meeting in a rare exchange of mutual recognition.

That dynamic carries into ‘Remi and Nneoma’, where Anunobi’s Chetachi operates from conviction, sometimes to the point of excess, and Montana’s character moves within those expectations. As both actors explain, what feels like control on screen is often rooted in something more human: love, fear, and the need to shape outcomes.

Across previous conversations with Martha Ehinome and Charles Born, Tina Mba and Kelechi Udegbe, Bikiya Graham-Douglas and Bucci Franklin, and Bisola Aiyeola and Ifeanyi Kalu, the cast moved between humour and on-set stories to conversations about grief, faith, and finding love again.

Watch the full conversation to watch the rare moment of admiration as ‘Remi and Nneoma’ gears up to open in cinemas on June 26, 2026.
