I flew 24 hours across the world to spend just 24 hours in Cappadocia, one of the most surreal destinations in Turkey — and it was worth every mile. In this episode, I explore some of the best things to do in Cappadocia, starting with the famous Cappadocia hot air balloons at sunrise. I didn’t ride in the balloons this time because I didn’t have enough time on this quick trip, but watching hundreds of balloons rise above the fairy chimneys and valleys around Göreme was unforgettable. With only one day to explore, I visited the incredible rock formations of Love Valley, took in panoramic views from Göreme Lookout, and explored the historic Göreme Open Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient rock-cut churches and Byzantine frescoes. Along the way, I experienced some amazing Turkish food, including trying baklava for the first time, and even stopped by one of Cappadocia’s famous carpet emporiums for a unique photoshoot, learning about the region’s connection to the ancient Silk Road and the tradition of Turkish carpets. Even with just 24 hours, Cappadocia proved to be far more than a place to photograph balloons. Between the landscapes, the history, the food, and the people, this region is one of the most unique destinations in Turkey. This is what 24 hours in Cappadocia looks like. 🗞 Join the Community HERE! 🌐 Website: www.craiglou.com 📄 Media Kit: https://www.craiglou.com/mediakit ⸻ 🔗 Stay Connected With Me: 📸 Instagram: @craiglou_ 🎥 TikTok: @craiglou_ 🌍 Website: www.craiglou.com ⸻ Host: Craig Lou Founder of This Is Somewhere Visual Storyteller | Drone Pilot | Culture Curator.
