In the past 24 hours, Jay-Z has lifted the veil on three live performance dates in the next few months. To start, he announced a Reasonable Doubt-themed headlining set at the 2026 Roots Picnic, in honor of the album's imminent 30th anniversary, going down at Philadelphia’s Belmont Plateau over the weekend of May 30 and 31. Jay-Z will take the stage that Saturday alongside The Roots. The following day, the rapper revealed plans for a true homecoming, breaking the news that he’ll take the stage on his very own streets. HOV will host live shows at Yankee Stadium on July 10 and 11, paying homage to the anniversaries of his Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint projects, respectively. Despite gracing the stage at one of Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter shows and showing out for a handful of intentional, intimate shows, the forthcoming trio of performances will mark the rapper’s first major headlining show in almost a decade, closing out his 444 tour in 2017.Fetty Wap To Return with ZavierFor his first post-prison project, which comes about two months after his release, Fetty Wap says “the last time the studio felt like this… [he] was making 'Trap Queen.'” After clearing his Instagram feed and slowly returning with a series of reflective-captioned, monochromatic studio shots, the rapper has formally announced his fourth studio album, Zavier, set to drop on Friday, March 27. The album trailer continues this same introspective, black-and-white aesthetic. “I’m just happy & grateful to be back, and thankful that my fans didn’t forget about me,” the rapper said in a press statement. “I’m so thankful to my family, fans, and team for holding me down. This new music is a reflection of a new chapter in my life. I just want to bring back good energy and good vibes. I love y’all.”Lollapalooza Levels Up With 2026 LineupIn today’s day and age of festival fatigue, it takes a lot for a music festival to actually turn heads. After much speculation over the past weeks, the heavy-hitting four-day Chicago festival has unveiled its 2026 lineup, and it seems to have made quite a splash online.  Headliners include Charli XCX, Olivia Dean, Lorde, JENNIE, and, for the first time as a trio in years, The xx. The rest of the lineup spans the entire spectrum of genres, ranging from Lil Uzi Vert and Clipse to Turnstile and Geese. Underground names include, once again, Fakemink and Nettspend, as well as Lucy Bedroque and Jim Legxacy. Other names we’re excited to see? Freddie Gibbs, Leon Thomas, WHATMORE, Snow Strippers, Little Simz, beabadoobee, Destin Conrad, PARTYOF2, Maria Zardoya's Not For Radio, Kwn, and 54 Ultra.Music Makes Its Mark on The 2026 OscarsAs always, music showed out at one of awards season’s biggest nights. K-Pop Demon Hunters’ “Golden” nabbed the award for “Best Original Song.” Sinners delivered a starry performance starring Raphael Saadiq, Shaboozey, and Miles Caton, complete with cameos from Misty Copeland, Brittany Howard, Alice Smith, and Buddy Guy. Teyana Taylor rocked fresh-off-the-runway Chanel. Travis Scott continued his Hermès streak, and Shaboozey went from custom Campillo for the ceremony to custom Kody Phillips for the afters.Kid Cudi’s First EP Drops on FridayIt’s quite impressive that over two decades into his career, Kid Cudi is still hitting firsts. He’s never released an EP before, and his first is set to drop on streaming services this upcoming Friday. Entitled HAVE U BN 2 HEAVEN @ NITE, the shortform release spans four tracks, all of which were recorded during the musician’s recent streaming sessions. “Didn't know you’d get new music this year and look, all for you,” he wrote on Instagram when announcing the project. “This streaming experience has been crazy for me, and I'm so happy u all were able to be there to see how my songs come together. There's a bonus joint on the EP too that I never recorded on stream, but we made the beat. New vibes incoming.”Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
