Bandai Namco Filmworks has released a new teaser trailer for Fool Night, officially announcing that the anime will premiere worldwide on Netflix on November 26, 2026.Adapted from Kasumi Yasuda's acclaimed manga series serialized in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits, the story is set in a bleak, sunless future where oxygen levels have plummeted, forcing humanity to develop "transfloration" — a surgical procedure that turns terminally ill individuals into oxygen-producing plants in exchange for a monetary grant.Co-animated by Sunrise and Shaft under director Hiroshi Yasuko, the narrative follows Kamiya Toshiro (voiced by Kouki Uchiyama), an impoverished young man who undergoes transfloration and finds himself tangled in a series of botanical murder investigations. The 60-second teaser trailer offers an eerie, atmospheric look into the anime’s body horror worldbuilding and noir-infused visual design. Alongside lead voice actor Uchiyama as the main protagonist, the preview also unveils newly added cast members, including Fairouz Ai as Yomiko Yomogi, Yuka Nukui as Ayaka Akira, Ayane Sakura as Ayasuko Amano and Kiyomitsu Mizuuchi as Jin Hiratoko.
