    The first New Music Friday of June has truly blessed our playlist. With albums coming from Vince Staples, Malcolm Todd, Apollo Red, and Navy Blue, additional longform ventures from Freddie Gibbs and Joji, and return singles from Tinashe, Steve Lacy, and Shaboozey, this summer seems to be shaping up to be a good one – sonically, that is. ProjectsVince Staples – Cry BabyMarking Vince Staples' sixth studio opus – and first as an independent artist – comes Cry Baby. The 10-track project features singles "Blackberry Marmalade," "White Flag," and "Cotton," culminating in a confrontational, genre-blurring commentary on the current state of affairs in our country.Freddie Gibbs – You Only Die 1nce (Deluxe)Last week, Freddie Gibbs surprised us with the three-track RBT EP, and this week, he's gracing us with more new music. He's doubled back on his legendary You Only Die 1nce LP, extending it to its deluxe version and tacking on some new tracks for DSPs.Imani Imani – PapercutsIn the middle of the week, pgLang caught many of us mid-scroll when the Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free-led imprint announced not only the signing of new artist Imani Imani, but the simultaneous drop of her debut album, Papercuts by way of the record label.Navy Blue – Sir RenderSage Elsesser's sonic alias Navy Blue has lifted the veil on Sir Render, the latest chapter in his immersive creative worldbuilding. The album features contributions from Earl Sweatshirt, Armand Hammer, Mike Shabb, and the late Ka, alongside production from The Alchemist, Jason Wool and Shungu.Malcolm Todd – Do That AgainAfter catching Malcolm Todd at Madison Square Garden this past week for a surprise appearance during Don Toliver's OCTANE show, we had to tap into his new album. Clocking in at 13 songs, Do That Again is out now.Joji – Piss in the Wind (Deluxe)While Joji's Piss in the Wind is still in our rotation, the enigmatic Hypebeast Magazine star is already expanding upon his recent Piss in the Wind project. The musician added on a handful of new tracks to a second disk, with assistance coming from Anyma and THE KID LAROI.Skrillex – SOMAPreceded by “Duro” with Young Miko, “Smoke” with ISOxo, and “Thistle” with Blawan, Randomer, and MC Dricka, comes Skrillex's SOMA album. The high-speed, heart-pumping project also features Feid.Apollo Red – Demon Heart MixtapeBolstered by bars from OsamaSon, Destroy Lonely and Homixide Gang, Demon Heart Mixtape signals Apollo Red's first project of 2026.SinglesDahi, Moses Sumney, Mez – “Find Me”Dahi got the whole gang together for his new track "Find Me," elevated by guest verses from both Moses Sumney and Mez.Tinashe – “Too Easy”For her first new material in over two years, Tinashe has dropped off "Too Easy," the track that saw its live premiere back in April during her DJ set at Coachella’s Do LaB.Natanya – “CANDYLAND!”If you're not tapped in with Natanya, now is the time to tap in. And her new single "CANDYLAND!" is a perfect place to start.Anysia Kym, Tony Seltzer, 454 – “To Death” (Remix)One of the best cuts on Anysia Kym and Tony Seltzer's Purity collab project is "To Death," so it was only right that fellow 10k affiliate 454 hop on for the official remix.Rico Nasty, Kenny Beats – “Rituals”The dynamic duo is back. Following up "Park" is the second new single from his imminent LP, "Right Away."Tierra Whack – “WAX PAPER”Big Whack is back. And it’s just the beginning.
