A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the suspects responsible for the death of Ina Chambers.

On January 9, 2026, at approximately 5:30 pm, East Point Police responded to the 1315 Gus Thornhill Jr Drive (known as Gus Thornhill Funeral Home) in reference to a person shot call. Officers arrived on scene and located Ina Chambers (depicted in the attached photo), lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. Ms. Chambers was later pronounced deceased on scene. Investigators determined that Ms. Chambers was at the location with her daughter to attend a viewing for a family member. While standing near the entrance of the funeral home, suspects began firing multiple rounds in the area of the property where Ms. Chambers was struck.

Detectives believe there may be people who witnessed the incident or have information about what happened.
