Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has spoken out after facing backlash over a social media post she shared while fans and colleagues were mourning the death of Yoruba movie veteran Taiwo Hassan.

Amusa had shared a video promoting her new movie on Monday, prompting some social media users to accuse her of being insensitive to the ongoing mourning.

Reacting to the criticism in a video shared online, the actress explained that the post had been scheduled in advance and was not deliberately shared to disregard the veteran actor’s death.

    She said in part …

“I came to see which post it was, then I saw which one it was. Wanting to take it off, I realized that it had generated hundred thousands of comments and all that. Seeing some of the comments, the insults, people cursing on me over a post that had been scheduled even long before we go the news of uncle Ogogo…”

She addressed the backlash while explaining the circumstances surrounding the timing of the post.
