Actor Christian Mark Gibbs, fresh off riveting sold-out performances with the sensational "Les Miserables: The Arena Concert Spectacular" at Radio City Music Hall from July 23-Aug. 9, is getting ready for his next big act on the Great White Way.

Gibbs, the son of Guyanese and American-born parents, was the sole American in a highly diverse, international "all-star" group originating from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and Argentina. He was recently interviewed by host Robin Roberts on "Good Morning America," acknowledging that the “Spectacular” was staged in 34 cities and 17 countries before making its only North American stop at New York's world-famous Radio City Music Hall.

“As the title is 'Concert Spectacular,' it is quite a spectacular show," Gibbs said excitedly. "In this version, as different from the stage version, we are highlighting the music here. We get to command the audience. There are cameras, lights, it’s big. There are 65 people on stage, you can feel it in your bones from the 6000 seat audience. Radio Music Hall is  unbelievable."

Questioned by Robin Roberts on how it felt to be performing in the only show as a New Yorker, and if he was the only American in the cast, Gibbs responded, “Yes, I am the only American in the cast. It means a lot to me. I did the U.S. tour before joining this cast in the U.K."

“I was over there and I got to be a part of the cast performing at The Royal Albert Hall, their version of Radio City Music Hall. But to come home, a New York native, and an American, I get to sing for this audience, and to see my parents there is fantastic,” said Gibbs with elation in his voice.

According to Gibbs' “CMG New” platform, after being on the road with the Broadway National Tour of Les Miserables as Enjolras, he returns to New York City, his hometown, with the international company of the Les Miserables Arena Concert Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall.

“As the only American actor and native New Yorker, coming home to Radio City Music Hall means more than what can be put into words right now," Gibbs said. "I am honored to celebrate this moment not only with this incredible cast, but with my longtime friends and family."

Gibbs, along with the cast that also performed on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon, is an award-winning international opera singer who holds a Bachelor of Music from the Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College, New York, where he was presented with the Choral Society 2022 Silver Jubilee Award in honor of John Castellini.

The Tenor singer is a recent guest artist at The Kennedy Center’s 50th anniversary season. He starred in two world-premiere operas at the Washington National Opera House — “It All Falls Down,” by Carlos Simon and the “Rift” by Huang Ruo.

Gibbs, who made his Broadway debut in 2023 at Lincoln Center Theater after performing in more than a dozen productions in cities including New York and Washington, and most recently in Finland, has appeared in various commercials on national television.
