    BOWIE, MD – The Bowie State University women’s basketball team has accepted an invitation to compete in the Black College Invitational Championship (BCIC) from Friday, Mar. 27 through Sunday, Mar. 29, hosted by Virginia State University at the VSU Multipurpose Center in Petersburg, Va. Now entering its second year, the Black College Invitational Championship (BCIC) continues to grow as a national platform celebrating the excellence and legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The event was founded by Wes Bellamy with the vision of creating a postseason stage dedicated to showcasing HBCU basketball while honoring the culture, pride and tradition that define these institutions.
