Donald Trump says Argentina is “dying” and moves to expand Argentine beef imports while John Boyd says Black farmers in the United States are losing farms, losing agricultural infrastructure, and still waiting for meaningful help. Trump defended the move by saying Argentina is “dying” and that he wants to help the country survive. But National Black Farmers Association President John Boyd tells Roland Martin that American cattle producers are already being crushed, and he says more than 300 Black farmers are losing their farms. Boyd says Black farmers have been shut out while the administration focuses on large-scale agriculture. He points to a Black rice farmer facing foreclosure and the loss of the last Black-owned cotton gin in Alabama as examples of what Black agricultural communities are already losing. The contradiction is impossible to ignore. Trump ran on “America First,” but Boyd and the panel argue that his policies are helping Argentina while Black farmers at home are losing land, businesses, and generations of agricultural infrastructure. Roland also challenges the white farmers who repeatedly backed Trump and are now being hit by tariffs, trade disruptions, rising costs, and the new beef import policy. Boyd says many of those farmers are going out of business too, but Black farmers entered this fight with far fewer protections and resources. #RolandMartinUnfiltered #BlackStarNetwork #BlackFarmers #DonaldTrump #Argentina #Agriculture Black Star Network Partner: Chapter Chapter and its affiliates are not connected with or endorsed by any government entity or the federal Medicare program.
